Thanksgiving and Christmas Feelings

Anteeksi pieni epäaktiivisuus blogissa! Yritän kirjoitella enemmän tästä eteenpäin. Mulla ei oikeestaan oo mitään hyvää syytä tälle, ei vaan oo huvittanu kirjotella blogiin niin kamalasti.

Tässä postauksessa ajattelin kertoo miten mun Thanksgiving eli kiitospäivä meni. Mun kiitospäivä koostui siis sukulaisista, ruoasta ja hyvästä tunnelmasta! Aivan alussa kaikki sanoi, että mistä ovat kiitollisia. Mä sanoin olevani kiitollinen mun hostperheestä ja Torasta, yhestä hostperheen serkuista, josta on tullut yks mun parhaista kavereista täällä. Sitten syötiin, syötiin ja syötiin. Sitten kun oltiin vedetty mahat täyteen ruokaa, alkoi nukuttaa, jonka jälkeen syötiin pikkuisen lisää.

Torstai-iltana mentiin Wal-Martiin, koska Black Friday alkoi torstaina - mä en ihan tajunnut sitä logiikkaa tällä, et miks se on musta perjantai jos se alkaa jo torstaina - josta mä ostin kuulokkeet ja Lady Gagan uuden albumin, ARTPOPin, itselleni. Nuo kuulokkeet hostäiti paketoi pakettiin ja laittoi joulukuusen alle. Lady Gagan albumista tykkäsin aika paljon! Back Friday oli ehdottomasti mun lempijuttu kiitospäivästä, jotenki semmonen odotus ja tunnelma kaupassa ja kaikkee... mut tungos oli kyl aika naurettava, ja hostperhe vielä nauro että Spokanessa on paljon pahempi, ja että jotkut on jopa kuollu Black Fridayn takia kun ihmiset on tallonu päälle! Only in America.

Perjantaina me tehtiin piparkakkutaloja. Tää oli tosi kivaa mun mielestä! Huomatkaa upee Suomen lippu, isänmaallisuus on aika in. Viikonloppuna aloitettiin myös talon koristelu, koritseltiin muun muassa kuusi ja semmoista. Oon aika joulufiiliksissä, oon kuunnellut joululauluja jo monta viikkoa vaikka yleensä jaksan ajatella joulua vasta viikon tai pari ennen itse joulupäivää. Luntakin satoi, ja tuntuu, että tällä kertaa pysyvästi, joten voin hyväksyä joulun, haha!

I apologize for not posting anything for a while! I'll try to be more active from now on... I really have no good reason for it, I just haven't felt like writing anything here.
Anyway, in this post I'm going to tell about my Thanksgiving. My Thanksgiving was made of family, food and good feelings! In the beginning everyone told what they are thankfol about this year. I said that I'm thankful for my host family and Tora, one of my host family's cousins, who has become probably my best friend here. And then we ate, ate, and ate a little more. When we were full, we started sleeping, after which we ate a little bit more!
On Thursday afternoon we went to Wal-Mart because of Black Friday - I didn't quite get the logic behind this, I mean, why is it called "Black Friday" if it starts on Thursday? - and I bought myself headphones and Lady Gaga's new album, ARTPOP. My host mom wrapped those headphones for me for a Christmas present and really like Lady Gaga's new album! Black Friday was my favorite thing about Thanksgiving, I loved the athmosphere at the store and everything... the crowd was pretty ridiculous though, and my host family said that this is small if you look at bigger cities like Spokane, and that some people have died because of Black Friday! Only in America.
On Friday we made gingerbread houses. This was super one! Notice my awesome flag of Finland, being patriotic is quite in. During the weekend we also started decorating the house for Christmas, for example we decorated the tree. I'm feeling pretty christmasy, I've been listening to Christmas songs for a couple of weeks now.
