Malian graduation eli
valmistujaiset. Perjantaina oli itse juhlat, ja lauantaina oli valmistujaisseremonia. Lacy oli
valedictorian (eli 4.0 oppilas, tarkoittaen, että kaikki high schoolin kurssit oli A. Tällä vuosiluokalla oli kahdeksan valedictoriania!), ja piti siis puheen. Mun mielestä oli tosi siistiä nähdä amerikkalainen valmistujaisseremonia! Olin aivan innoissani kun rehtori sanoi "ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the class of 2014", ja koulusta valmistujat heitti lakit ilmaan! Ihana uusi, erilainen kokemus tää taas.
A week ago Lacy and Malia had their graduation. On Friday we had the actual celebration, and on Saturday was the graduation ceremony. Lacy was valedictorian (or on of the eight), and she had a speech. I thought it was really cool to see American graduation ceremony! I was so excited when they announced "ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you the class of 2014" and all the graduates took their caps off and threw them in the air. This was a new, wonderful experience for me.
